From Therapy to Treats
Behind the Sneaky Sweets
Hi, I’m Sasha—therapist by day, baker by passion.

Sasha’s Sneaky Sweets started as a side hustle, sparked by the encouragement (read: gentle pressure) from friends, family, and coworkers who couldn’t get enough of my homemade treats. What began as casual cookie boxes and muffins quickly grew into a full-fledged baking business rooted in joy, comfort, and a whole lot of wholesome indulgence.
By day, I work as a mental health therapist in the field of criminal reform and rehabilitation. It’s meaningful, intense work—and baking became my creative outlet, my quiet joy. I like to think my two worlds aren’t so different: both are about care, healing, and paying attention to the little things.
I grew up around people with serious health concerns—but also serious sweet tooths. That tension shaped how I bake today: creating delicious, feel-good treats that aren’t too much of anything. I found my sweet spot with madeleines—simple, elegant, satisfying. They’re soft enough for your morning coffee, sweet enough for your midnight snack, and special enough to share (if you want to).
Custom Treats. Made for You.
The Sneaky Philosophy
So… what’s sneaky about Sasha’s Sneaky Sweets?

Well, for starters—I bake mostly at night, after my 9–5 therapy sessions wrap up. It’s a quiet, sneaky kind of joy. And from the beginning, this whole business has grown under-the-radar: slow, steady, lovingly encouraged by the people closest to me.
But sneaky also speaks to how these sweets are made. Every cookie, muffin, or madeleine is homemade from scratch with ingredients you can pronounce, in a Brooklyn home processor kitchen you can trust. No mystery fillers. No weird preservatives. Just real, feel-good flavor.
They’re sweet—but not over-the-top. Indulgent—but not overdone.
They’re sneaky in the best way. Kind to your body. Gentle on your cravings. Made with you in mind. And best of all? They’re flexible. Whether you’re watching sugar, avoiding certain oils, or looking for a treat that aligns with your needs—I’m always happy to consult and customize. Wholesome access to sweets shouldn’t be a luxury- although I will make it feel that way, and I believe everyone deserves a little indulgence that feels good after the last bite too.

Wanted to bake cookies. Learned how to build a website.
When you’re one person managing a business, you truly get to learn the coolest, weirdest, hardest, and best parts of building a business. It’s liberating and terrifying at the same time. In a positive spin to the sound, it truly be the more I f around, the more I find out (ways to make all the elements of a business come together) 😉
The closer I get to launching the website, the more unreal this all feels 🥹🤍
Saw this trend and had to hop on it! Not everything needs to loud to be real.
I’m here to bake with intention, create with care, and offer something that actually fit into your life- not just your feed.
If you get it, you get it 🤍

A simple lemon loaf is where it all started ✨
The truth is sometimes the doubt creeps in. Sometimes I wonder if it’s worth the late nights and moments I have to miss out on something. But I’m dedicated to this crazy little dream and my crazy little customers 💪
💛 Thank you to those who have encouraged me and supported me along the way!
Started as something fun to bake… now it’s one of my most requested treats.
A custom order pushed me to try something new — cashew baklava (never even heard of it before 👀). It turned out that good… and now it’s officially on the menu.
This is exactly why I love doing this. Every request is a chance to experiment, grow, and create something that fits someone’s tastes, lifestyle, or vision — and then share it with all of you. 💕
Purple yam 🍠
Purple yam (ube) doesn’t get talked about enough for what it actually brings.
It’s naturally rich in antioxidants (that deep purple color is doing something), has fiber that supports digestion, and gives a more steady source of energy compared to more refined ingredients.
When I use it, it’s not just for the color or the aesthetic—it has real value behind it.
But I’m also realistic about it.
When a client and I do a consultation for a customized order, I come prepared. I’ve already looked into the ingredient, what it can actually offer, and whether it aligns with what they’re looking for.
In this case, I had to be honest and say—there just isn’t enough of it in a madeleine to replace a daily intake need. It’s not something I could confidently offer in that way.
They still wanted the flavor, and we met in the middle. It became a fun, intentional order built around taste and experience—not something I’d position as delivering full-on benefits.
And that matters to me just as much as how it tastes.

Guava madeleines 🌺🌴
A lot of people don’t know this, but I actually grew up in Hawaii. It was a kind of paradise that made my childhood feel really magical. Kauai, especially, will always feel like a home away from home.
I was missing it a little extra this day and wanted to make something that brought me back there.
We had guava trees along our driveway, and I remember picking them in the mornings to have with breakfast—simple, but it stuck with me.
These came out really special. A little nostalgic, a little personal… and really, really good.
I added Easter themed sprinkles as a trim, since we are getting into the holiday.
